报告摘要:In Ericksen-Leslie's formulation of hydrodynamics of nematic liquid crystals, if the inertial effect is kept, the corresponding equations are the coupling of Navier-Stokes equations and wave map with target sphere. In this talk, we review the recent progress on this system. Furthermore, we also discuss the hyperbolic liquid crystal elastomer equations, which correspond to the situation that the background fluid has elastic effect.
报告人简介:江宁,武汉大学数学与统计学院教授,博士生导师。博士毕业于美国马里兰大学,曾先后在纽约大学Courant研究所、清华大学数学科学中心任教,长期从事非线性偏微分方程和几何分析的相关研究,相关成果发表在CPAM、ARMA等国际著名期刊杂志上。
