报告摘要:

The Lamb dipole is a well-known traveling circular pairs solution for incompressible 2D Euler equation. In this talk, I will introduce some results on the existence and stability of traveling vortex pairs for the generalized surface quasi-geostrophic equation, which is the analogue of the Lamb dipole. We also will talk about highly concentrated traveling vortex pair solutions for incompressible 2D Euler equation. The content of this talk is based on joint papers with Guolin Qin, Weicheng Zhan and Changjun Zou.

报告人简介:

曹道民,教授,博士生导师。主持国家自然科学基金重点项目,国家杰出青年科学基金,中国科学院“百人计划”入选者。获得中国科学院青年科学家奖一等奖、中国科学院杰出青年等荣誉。曾任中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院应用数学研究所所长,广州大学数学与信息科学学院院长。主要从事非线性偏微分方程和非线性分析的研究,发表高水平学术论文一百多篇。任《应用数学学报》和《数学物理学报》副主编,任《中国科学》(数学),《Applicable Analysis》等刊物的编委。
